Georgette Paulycarpe is a Certified Nurse Midwife from Brooklyn, NY. Georgette Paulycarpe is a first-generation Afro-Caribbean American from Haiti. She began her nursing career at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center before transitioning to Labor and Delivery nurse at NYU Langone Health. After 10yrs, she pursued her master's degree in Family Health as a Nurse Practitioner. However, it was going back for her post graduate degree in Midwifery in 2018 that career fulfillment was truly achieved. In the collective 21yrs in this work, her passion for and commitment to disrupting obstetric/systemic racism, contributing to patient health literacy, all the while providing comprehensive trauma-informed care has never wavered. As a full scope midwife, she will forever be enthusiastic to learn from the mentors and midwives before her as she creates a path of her own. Additional certifications achieved include becoming an IBCLC and Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner. Georgette is honored and ever so grateful to join the indisputable legacy that is the Park Slope Midwives of NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Georgette received her Advanced Certificate of Midwifery from SUNY Downstate Midwifery 2021, MS in Nursing from the College of Mount Saint Vincent 2014, and her BS in Nursing from the University of Delaware in 2004.
