upon meeting Farid he set my mind at ease when I realized he is not about making money. bkny Contractors is not only honest but is hardworking and will not stop until the sun goes down. He did an awesome job redesigning the brick work on my fireplace and installed a wood burning stove. He explained everything he was doing and I was with him to buy the materials I needed so I knew he wasn't over charging me like other contractors probably would. bkny Contractors will soon be remodeling my bathroom and I will surely call upon him for other home improvement needs.

We have had the pleasure of having bkny Contractors work on a couple home projects for us. Notably, last summer he completely resurfaced the front exterior of our house. Our house used to have a plain plywood front, but bkny Contractors suggested (completely his idea) the idea of covering it with Hardibacker siding boards. We were extremely pleased with how everything came out (it ended up having that classic clapboard look!) and had him replace much of the trim boards as well. After our house had a new paint job, it seriously looked like a new house! And I have the comfort of knowing that the Hardibacker material will last MUCH longer than standard plywood. I know that we got an amazing price and this job was done extremely professionally! I'm most impressed with bkny Contractors honesty. He has absolutely no problem showing you exactly how much the materials for your job cost (he'll even show you receipts!) so you know exactly how much you are paying in labor. He also offers much better prices for his work than I've seen from other contractors. Another aspect of bkny Contractors that I find impressive is that HE IS NOT AFRAID TO WORK IN HIS OWN NEIGHBORHOOD, which I think says a lot about the quality of work that he provides. In fact, he just recently installed new vinyl windows in our neighbor's house and they look beautiful!

Bkny Contractors’s team took my ugly bathroom to beautiful. Listened to all my wants as I wanted to keep it retro but modern. We did a black, white, and gray color scheme. Very easy to communicate with and stuck with our plan and didn't try and sway me in a different direction like a lot of contractors do.

I recently purchased a fixer upper home in Staten Island, I fell in love with the bones of the house, but I knew it was going to need a lot of work to get the home to where I wanted it to be, I had about 8-10 contractors come to home before finally calling Bkny Contractors, they came the same day, we walked through the entire house, he was able to give me ideas that I didn't even think of, opening walls, exposing a brick wall that I didn't even know I had. His estimate was fair & clear, and we immediately signed a contract with him. They was always available by phone to answer any questions, even going with my husband & i to pick out cabinets, and countertops. Not once did we feel like we were working with a contractor, considering they sometimes have a bad name. He became more of a partner in making our first home that we fell in love with, to become a house that we now absolutely love. I would also like to say that his workers were a pleasure, always on time, always cleaned up after they were done for the day, and always communicated with my husband & I if we had any questions regarding how long something will take. For now they have completed a full kitchen renovation, two bathrooms, and we're currently looking into finishing the original hardwood floors. Thanks again Bkny Contractors, for making our home beautiful & for your professionalism.
