Dr. Andrew Dawson joined NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital’s Epilepsy Center in 2004. He is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College. After receiving his undergraduate degree in biology from Cornell University, he completed a master’s degree in physiology at Georgetown University. He received his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook and completed an internship at NYU Downtown Hospital. Dr. Dawson completed both his residency in neurology and a two-year fellowship in epilepsy and neurophysiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Dawson is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society. His interests include EEG, video EEG, intracranial EEG, corticography, evoked potentials, vagus nerve stimulation, and intraoperative monitoring.
